This is a side story to the life of Chris Prokop. Maybe it will end up in much embarassment, like so many other endeavors of my life. But maybe I'll end up a better person.

Please, for the love of all that is holy, start with the original post or none of this journal will make any sense at all. Well, some of it will, but it won't really fit together otherwise.

There are many lessons to be learned from my wanderings...

-It is always helpful to write down how you are feeling and what you are thinking. If you choose to keep what you write to yourself, it will help put things in perspective and allow you to not waste time rethinking things that you've already worked out. If you do choose to share it with other people, you can get valuable feedback on what you've written, and you can gain new insight to issues that you've not yet thought about.

-The majority of Livejournal entries fall into two main categories: General updates about a person's life, and angsty bitching about what is happening in a person's life. I actually prefer the angsty posts, as long as the writer goes that extra mile to be coherent.

-Don't feel like you have to be silent about something in order to not hurt somebody's feelings. You can friends lock the post, or create an anonymous blog.

-Don't drop behavior altering meds too fast.

-Always be receptive to what others say and don't attack the person for saying something shitty; attack the comment instead.

-Don't destroy articles that can help you remember how you felt in the past. I think it is an important part of growing as a person to see where you were back in the day and where you are now, and to think about the important points in your life that had a large influence in determining who you are.
